Full Story
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory first opened in Whistler, B.C. 20 years ago and has since grown to over 40 stores across Canada. As with all retailers, location is key to the success of the company's stores and the firm is always working to secure prime real estate for its next project.
The company commissioned Red Label to reach out to potential landlords at the International Council of Shopping Centers' annual event in Whistler. Red Label wanted to create a compelling message that would elevate Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's brand above its competitors.
Red Label's greatest challenge was to design marketing materials that would stick with the audience. Many brochures are simply tossed into the garbage just minutes after they are distributed.
The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's "peak" chocolate box provided the perfect, cost effective solution. Red Label incorporated the box, an all-important component of the brand, into the conference package. The audience left the Rocky Mountain booth with a powerful incentive to take the package home, not to mention a memorable experience.
Tucked inside the box, the brochure featured two new stores that best capture the company's vision for its future. Red Label photographed both locations to capture the essence of the new storefronts. We also incorporated some existing shots of the product. The result was an attractive brochure that helped shopping centers determine if Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was a good fit for their space.
Red Label also included a gift card for the company's stores. The cards encouraged decision makers to visit the stores for the full Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory experience. The card also allowed Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to track the success of the campaign.
